Margunn Bjørnholt is a sociologist and a Research Professor at the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies (NKVTS).
Her current research focuses on questions of gender, violence and power, including sexual and gender-based violence against women migrants and refugees. She has also published widely on changes over time and generations in men’s work–family practices and gender relations, and on migration and social change. Her research fields also include ethical banking, management and organisational change in the public sector, the welfare state, theories of social justice, human rights, and policy studies.
She holds an MA in European economic studies from the College of Europe, a PhD (mag.art.) in economic sociology from the University of Oslo and a PhD in gender studies from Örebro University. She has a broad background as an academic, a civil servant, a consultant and a leader in the NGO sector, and has formerly worked at the Regional Development Fund, the National Institute of Technology, the Work Research Institute and the University of Oslo. She is a former President of the Norwegian Association for Women’s Rights and the Norwegian Women’s Lobby, and has served as an independent expert on gender equality to the European Commission.

Heine Paus is a law student at the University of Oslo. He is a former journalist with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), working as a reporter for its flagship radio news programme Dagsnytt and as a foreign duty editor and presenter of the news magazine Verden i dag (The World Today), a former Executive Director of the feminist radio station radiOrakel, and has been involved with a number of humanitarian and nonpartisan NGOs, including the European Movement and the Norwegian Red Cross. His academic interests include international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
